- Hackitectura @ EMST
The National Museum of Contemporary Art (EMST) is hosting until January 23 the project Mapping the Commons, Athens by the Spanish collective Hackitectura.
The project is part of the EMST New Commissions 2010 for the Project Room of the museum and aims to map the commons of Athens in collaboration with an interdisciplinary team of professors, researchers and students from academic institutions of the city.
The Hellenic American Union (HAU) is hosting, from January 10 until February 5, an exhibition by visual artist Theodoros Zafeiropoulos titled Intake.

The National Opera presents from January 16, at the Athens Concert Hall, the famous opera Tosca, by Giacomo Puccini, conducted by Lucas Karytinos and under the direction of Nikos Petropoulos.

- New Hellenic Quartet @ B & M Theocharakis Foundation
The New Hellenic Quartet is continuing its cycle of 6 concerts at the B & M Theocharakis Foundation Auditorium, on January 13, with works by Beethoven, Brahms, and Schumann.
The New Hellenic Quartet was founded in 1991 and is considered today to be Greece’s foremost chamber ensemble
- Manos Hadjidakis’s encounters with Jazz
The Dimitris Kalantzis Quintet and the Camerata, with Miltos Logiadis at the podium, will be performing jazz rewrites of some of Manos Hadjidakis’s best-known works, on January 15, at the Athens Concert Hall.
Yannis Anagnostatos a.k.a. Lolek - a stage name borrowed from the 1980s Polish animation series Bolek and Lolek - currently one of the most promising names of the local alternative music scene will be performing at the Athens Concert Hall, on January 14.
