Deputy Foreign Minister Dimitris Dollis departed for Tripoli, Libya yesterday accompanied by a team of Foreign Ministry personnel. Two Greek Air Force C-130s carried 48,000 bottles of drinking water, following a relevant pledge by Prime Minister George Papandreou at an international conference on Libya’s future, held in Paris, last week. The Greek delegation also visited Benghazi, where Dollis met with the President and members of the National Transitional Council.
He also visited Freedom Square and the Greek school there, where he had a meeting with members of the Greek community.
