Greece booked its ticket to the Euro 2012 finals by defeating Georgia 2-1 yesterday evening in Tbilisi.
The National Football Team topped this way its group with seven wins and three draws and qualified directly for UEFA Euro 2012 in Poland and Ukraine, reaching the finals for the third time in succession.
Giorgos Fotakis (photo) responded to David Targamadze with a goal at the 78th minute and five minutes from time Euro 2004 winner Angelos Charisteas sealed Greece's victory with a clever shot that beat the Georgian goalkeeper after a Costas Katsouranis pass. This is the first time Greece has qualified for the finals of a major tournament without conceding a single defeat.
