A Memorandum of Co-operation between Greece and Cyprus providing for the contribution of Greek expertise to the Cypriot EU Council Presidency in the 2nd half of 2012 was signed on February 7 in Nicosia. Greek Foreign Ministry General Secretary Ioannis Zepos, and his Cypriot counterpart, Nikolaos Emiliou, signed the Memorandum.

Speaking to reporters, Zeppos said that the Memorandum is flexible and experts will be sent to help out as needed and requested by the Cypriot Presidency. On his part, Emiliou thanked his Greek counterpart, noting that Greece will provide expertise not only in Foreign Affairs issues, but also in various fields.
