A typical London double-decker red bus is travelling from Corfu to London, carrying images and flavours of the Ionian island to the Olympic city of 2012.

The bus, which is decorated with Corfu images and carries information material and local products, began its journey on July 6, from Corfu’s magnificent Spianada Square and is expected to arrive in London today (July 9), to begin a three-day roadshow stopping at the British capital’s main tourist sites and offering free rides, a glimpse of Corfu’s natural beauty and culture, as well as a taste of Corfiat gastronomy.
On the same day, a special art installation by UK artist Lewk Wilmshurst titled Corfu Beaches will be inaugurated at Victoria Central station. Finally, a special competition on Facebook CorfuLifeTimeExperience- calls on internet users to upload and vote for the best video and photo of Corfu, winning an all-inclusive, seven-day trip to the island.
