In an extensive interview with The Washington Post, on September 14, Prime Minister Antonis Samaras touched upon practically every aspect of Greece’s economic situation and referred to the government’s efforts towards exiting the severe debt crisis, through the implementation of structural reforms coupled with austerity measures.
He also reiterated Athens' position over a two-year extension of the economic adjustment package until 2016, expressing concern over social cohesion if "there is no light at the end of the tunnel."
