Migration Management and International Organizations in the 20th century will be held by the National Hellenic Research Foundation (NHRF) and the University of the Peloponnese (School of Social & Pol. Sciences) in Athens, on April 23-25.
Effective migration management involves inter-state cooperation as well as collaboration with non-state agencies. It is within this context that the EU adopted a Global approach to migration. The conference seeks to assess past international regulation efforts, as well as to contribute to a better understanding of perceptions of migration management with a focus on the role of international organizations. The event will be held as part of the research project A History of the Establishment of the International Organization for Migration by the MiMIO Research programme.
