The personal stories of Greek Jews who took part in the Greek Resistance during WWII are presented at the exhibition “Greek Jews in the National Resistance” running from April 1st through May 30th at the Washington Hebrew Congregation.

The exhibition, originating from the Jewish Museum of Greece and presented by the Embassy of Greece in the United States, features photographs, documents, letters, resistance newspapers, original artifacts, weaponry and other relevant material, accompanied by a bilingual catalogue and specially designed educational programmes for schools.

Director David Gavriilidis has also produced a documentary film, which explores this subject in depth engaging people, places and events.

The exhibition "Synagonistis" (Greek for "comrade in arms") is presented in Washington, DC and is supported by Greece’s Secretariat General for Communication, the American Hellenic Institute and the American-Hellenic Educational Progressive Association.
