A ‘Herculean Task’
Paying an official visit to Greece (2.6), European Parliament’s Speaker Jerzy Buzek said that "at these difficult times, Greece is not alone" likening the country’s effort to remedy its financial situation to a Herculean task.
Welcoming Buzek, Prime Minister Papandreou described the visit as a token of solidarity on behalf of the European Union towards Greece.

Serbia's Support Still Strong
During an official visit to Greece (1-3.6), President of Serbia Boris Tadic was received by the Prime Minister, George Papandreou, the Speaker of the Hellenic Parliament, Philippos Petsalnikos, Archbishop of Athens and All Greece, Ieronymos, and the main opposition "New Democracy" party leader Antonis Samaras.
While in Athens, Tadic was awarded the Hellenic Parliament’s gold medal for his contribution to strengthening bilateral ties.
