Minister of Culture & Tourism Pavlos Geroulanos yesterday met with his Italian counterpart in Rome to discuss matters of mutual interest in terms of culture promotion.
Sandro Bondi encouraged Greece to follow Italy’s initiative to digitalise its cultural patrimony through a collaboration with Google, while Pavlos Yeroulanos suggested a broader cooperation in the field of promotion, focusing on cultural features such as architecture or gastronomy, which will include all Mediterranean countries.

He further remarked that he considered meeting in Rome important, as the two ministers exchanged views on how best to promote culture, since there are some fields in which Italy excels, while Greece has paved the way in others.
