  • “Eros” at the  Athens Megaron

Valentine Goes Megaron
The Athens State Orchestra led by Vladimiros Symeonidis, will be performing works from popular movie soundtracks at the Athens Concert Hall on Sunday, February 14. The program includes music from “Gone with the Wind,” “Out of Africa,” “Love Story,” “West Side Story” and “Doctor Zhivago.

Tango and Eros
The Athens Concert Hall presents “Tango en Eros”, an all-day tribute to Tango, the dance of passion. The event will be held on the eve of Valentine’s Day (February 13th) with free Tango lessons, happenings and film screenings (free admission) taking place at the Foyer of the Muses, the Christos Lambrakis Hall and the Banquet Hall. The event, a co-production by the Athens Concert Hall and Tango Acropolis Festivals, is held under the auspices of the Embassy of Argentine Republic in Athens.

  •  Meet Market, the Love Edition

On Saturday 13th and Sunday 14th, a two-day St. Valentine’s celebration of the entrepreneurial spirit is taking place, focusing on love and creativity. The Meet Market  taking place in Technopolis, in a total of 3 buildings that will be filled with plenty of vendors, non-stop music, interactive play room for kids  and many gifts, the event will also offer 3 lucky couples a free romantic evening of cocktails and chemistry.

  • 2nd Love Tattoo Festival

After the success of the 1st LOVE TATTOO FESTIVAL which took place in BOA Live Stage in Rio (Patras) in 2015, the 2nd LOVE TATTOO FESTIVAL taking place from 12 to 14 February, 2016 with the participation of 50 tattoo artist in BOA Live Stage in Rio, will be staffed by competitions and awards in different categories as well as numerous art events.

  • Nikos Angelidis’  painting exhibition

The Skoufa Gallery in Athens presents a solo painting exhibition by Nikos Angelidis. Going on display are 28 paintings defined by the artist’s sense of realism and balancing between dreams and a perplexing reality. The exhibition runs from February 11 to March 7. 

  •  The Barber of Seville

 The Greek National Opera presents a new production of Gioachino Rossini’s “Barber of Seville” at the company’s Olympia Theater. Performances run from February 13 to 28. A co-production with the Municipal Theater of Bologna, the opera is directed by Francesco Micheli with tenors Antonis Koroneos and Dimitris Kassioumis alternating in the role of Count Almaviva, while sopranos Vassiliki Karayanni and Mina Polychronou take on the role of Rosina and baritones Dionysios Sourbis and Haris Andrianos alternate as Figaro. 

  • Alkistis Protopsalti   “Playing with time”  

Famous Greek singer Alkistis Protopsalti will be performing at the Athens Concert Hall on February 11, 12, 13, 15 and 16. The artist will be accompanied by the Mandolin Arte ensemble, singer Giorgos Karadimos, percussionist Alexis Costas and trombone soloist Alekos Tzamarias.
