The 1st Oil & Gas Forum organized by the American-Hellenic Chamber of Commerce, and supported by the Hellenic Association for Energy Economics (HAEE), will be held on 7 September 2017, at the Ramada Plaza Thraki Hotel in Alexandroupoli, Greece.

Greek Minister of Environment & Energy, George Stathakis, the Energy Ministers of Serbia, Aleksandar Antić and Bulgaria Temenuzhka Petkova, and the US Ambassador to Greece, Geoffrey Pyatt, are among the confirmed participants in the Forum.

The Forum is expected to be an opportunity for key policy makers, regulators, top market players, financiers, academics and experts to discuss the current issues related to the dynamic energy field in Greece and the wider region, focusing on how Greece could become a major energy hub for Europe and how it can best exploit its geographical advantage and energy resources for achieving this goal.

The conference will cover the following areas: the oil & gas potential of Greece, the future of oil and gas drillings in Greece, the role of Greece in the global gas & LNG market, as well as relationships between energy geopolitics and energy markets, regional alliances and co-operations, gas pipelines & regional challenges in SE Europe.
