#Nisyros to become Greece’s new UNESCO Global Geopark

During the meeting of its 10th session in Chile, the UNESCO Global Geoparks Council proposed 12 new geoparks for endorsement. Nearly 150 observers from 32 Member States attended this meeting, both in person and online. Should UNESCO’s Executive Board endorse this decision when it meets next year, this would expand the network to 241 sites around the world.
