🇬🇷 Greece heads to the European Cyber Security Challenge 2026!

The new Greek National Cybersecurity Team is getting ready to represent Greece at the European Cyber Security Challenge (ECSC) 2026, Europe’s leading cybersecurity competition for young talent, organized by ENISA.

The team will be officially presented on 27 September at Cipher X, a major event dedicated to cybersecurity, technology and innovation, taking place at the DAIS Sports & Cultural Centre in Maroussi, Athens

The European Cyber Security Challenge (ECSC) is an initiative of the European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA), bringing together national teams of young people with outstanding knowledge and skills in cybersecurity.

The ECSC aims not only to identify and showcase emerging cybersecurity talent, but also to build bridges between the next generation of cybersecurity professionals, the research community and industry.

🇬🇷🇺🇸 Inauguration of the Honorary Consulate of Greece in New Orleans

The inauguration ceremony of the Honorary Consulate of Greece in New Orleans took place on September 14, in the presence of Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Alexandra Papadopoulou, Ambassador of Greece to the United States Antonis Alexandridis, Honorary Consul John Dennis Georges, Mayor of New Orleans Helena Moreno, and representatives of the Greek-American community.

In a video message, Minister of Foreign Affairs George Gerapetritis referred to the historically distinctive place of New Orleans in the history of the Greek Diaspora in the United States of America, highlighting the city’s contribution to the formation and development of the Greek-American presence.

The reopening of a Greek consular presence in New Orleans, through the new Honorary Consulate, reflects Greece’s commitment to further strengthen its presence and ties with the Greek diaspora, while also contributing to the further development of bilateral relations between Greece and the United States.🇬🇷🇺🇸

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Hellenic National Commission for UNESCO organized an event entitled “The Promotion and Implementation of UNESCO Flagship Programs in Greece: National Achievements and Significant Synergies”, as part of the 90th Thessaloniki International Fair (TIF).

The event was addressed by the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yiannis Loverdos and the newly appointed President of the Hellenic National Commission for UNESCO, Dora Vyzovitou.
