Greater Olympus Area inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List

Home of the gods in Greek mythology and a landscape of extraordinary biodiversity, Mount Olympus now joins the world's most iconic heritage sites.

The inscription of The Greater Olympus Area on the UNESCO World Heritage List as a Mixed Property was unanimously approved during the 48th Session of the UNESCO World Heritage Committee.

The inclusion of the mythical Mount Olympus on the World Heritage List represents one of the highest international distinctions in the protection of cultural and natural heritage, recognizing its outstanding universal value and its exceptional significance to humanity.

The Cybersecurity Skills Coalition European Digital Infrastructure Consortium (CSC-EDIC), announced recently in Brussels, will be headquartered in Athens, with Greece, Cyprus, Austria, Croatia, and Slovenia serving as its founding members.

The CSC-EDIC will play a central role in implementing the EU Cybersecurity Skills Academy, helping to expand the adoption of ENISA's European Cybersecurity Skills Framework (ECSF) across industry.

The European Union Agency for Cybersecurity (ENISA) is also headquartered in Greece, with its main offices in Athens and an operational office in Heraklion, Crete.
