Greece continues to move forward dynamically, expanding its footprint on the international stage with a focus on extroversion, promotion, and the support of Greek creators, as well as fostering connections between contemporary Greek literature and the global publishing world—including authors, translators, publishers, literary agents, and cultural institutions.

Greece’s participation in the 63rd Bologna Children's Book Fair (13-16.4), the Festival du Livre de Paris (17-19.4), and the 37th Sarajevo Book Fair (22-27.4) is being implemented by the Ministry of Culture of Greece, through its Directorate of Letters, in collaboration with the Hellenic Foundation for Books and Culture, and with the support of the Greek Community of Bologna, the Centre for Greek Culture in Paris, the Maison de la Grèce Paris, the organizing committee of the Sarajevo fair, PEN Bosnia and Herzegovina, as well as local diplomatic and consular authorities and academic and cultural institutions.

The spirit and unique experience of the legendary cycling race Tour de France were brought to Greece through the 4th L’ Etape Greece by Tour de France 2026, which took place on Saturday, April 4, 2026, in the area of Sparta under the auspices of the Greek National Tourism Organisation, promoting the region internationally and strengthening the country’s image as an ideal destination for sports tourism.

The 4th L’ Etape Greece was organized by ευZHN feelόsophy, the Region of Peloponnese, the Municipality of Sparta, and the Sparti Athletic Club.

All races started and finished in front of the statue of Leonidas in the city of Sparta, passing through unique landscapes, historic landmarks, traditional villages, and ancient paths of Laconia. More than 2,000 cyclists and accompanying visitors from 28 countries around the world took part in and attended the event.
