🌱 By the year 2050 European production of low- to zero-carbon fuels could reach 150 million tons per year, with total investment estimated at between 400-650 billion euros, according to chemical engineer Liana Gouta.🌍 As she pointed out, the industry has set in motion a great transformation and can play a key role in achieving the EU’s goals for a gradual reduction of carbon emissions and climate neutrality by 2050.🛢 Ms Gouta, Group Director Energy Policy and International Affairs at HELLENiQ ENERGY, has recently been appointed as Director General of the European Fuel Manufacturers Association - Clean Fuels for All by FuelsEurope.
