On the sidelines of the Show, a highly topical discussion took place at the historic Vouleftiko of Nafplio, focusing on marine parks and mooring infrastructure. The event was organized by the Greek Yachting Association (GYA).

The Secretary General for Tourism Policy and Development, Vasiliki Koutsoukou, elaborated on the policies and measures already adopted by the Ministry of Tourism for the further development of Greek yachting, highlighting its significant contribution to the national economy. As she noted, the Ministry places particular emphasis on the protection of the natural and marine environment, advancing the development, modernization, and sustainable management of modern, environmentally friendly infrastructure. At the same time, it enhances the overall visitor experience while ensuring balance within the natural and cultural environment. Ms. Koutsoukou also pointed out that the Ministry of Tourism is implementing an extensive program of interventions through the Recovery and Resilience Facility, aiming to upgrade the infrastructure of the country’s tourist ports. A total of 26 investment projects, amounting to approximately €120 million, have been approved and are currently in the implementation phase, strengthening both infrastructure and the services they provide.
