The 32nd Kalamata International Dance Festival takes place from July 17 to July 26, 2026, under the artistic direction of Tzeni Argyriou for the second consecutive year. This year's edition is dedicated to the "magic" of the art of dance and its ability to open new paths in times of instability and uncertainty.

The 32nd Kalamata International Dance Festival brings together performances that embrace this existential instability, creating magical spaces, temporalities, and worlds that transcend realism. Through the "magic" of art, what is fragile becomes a place of encounter and possibility—a space where uncertainty is not excluded but becomes common ground, and where our vulnerability becomes the foundation for genuine coexistence.

Among the 24 artists presenting their work, 12 are international artists. This year, particular emphasis is placed on Greek creators, with the participation of 12 Greek choreographers.

Andros Ranked Among Europe's Top Islands Recommended to French Travelers

The Cycladic island of Andros has received significant international exposure through two new features published by the popular French travel platform Generation Voyage, further strengthening its profile as an emerging destination for European travelers.

In the first article, highlighting Europe's best islands for water sports, Andros tops a curated list of destinations spanning the Cyclades, the Dodecanese, the Canary Islands, and the Balearic Islands. The feature recognizes the island for its combination of authenticity, spectacular natural scenery, and favorable sailing and wind conditions, making it an ideal destination for maritime tourism.

According to Generation Voyage, the selected islands offer outstanding sailing experiences, dramatic coastal landscapes, and the opportunity to explore diverse beaches, secluded coves, and picturesque shorelines. Andros is presented as an excellent gateway to discovering the Aegean Sea by boat while enjoying a less crowded and more authentic Greek island experience.

A second, in-depth feature is dedicated entirely to Andros, describing it as "a magnificent, unconventional Greek island" and inviting readers to discover the island's ten must-see attractions and experiences.

The guide showcases the island's rich diversity, highlighting Chora, its Venetian castle, museums, the seaside villages of Batsi and Gavrio, traditional mountain settlements, pristine beaches, scenic hiking trails, and boat excursions. It presents Andros as a destination where nature, culture, history, gastronomy, and authentic local experiences come together to offer visitors a well-rounded travel experience.

Particular emphasis is placed on Andros' extensive network of hiking routes, considered one of the island's defining attractions, as well as its crystal-clear beaches, traditional villages, maritime heritage, and the distinctive architecture of Chora. The publication also notes that the island's lush landscapes, natural springs, and dramatic gorges set it apart from the more arid image commonly associated with the Cyclades.

The feature further highlights Andros' culinary identity, encouraging visitors to discover its local cuisine and traditional products as part of an immersive journey into the island's culture and way of life.
