Greece’s Minister of Maritime Affairs and Insular Policy, Vasilis Kikilias, participated in the international conference "Shaping the Future of Shipping Summit 2026 – Forging Partnerships for Resilience" held in Rome. Minister Kikilias held a series of meetings with Italy’s political leadership and senior representatives of the global maritime community, emphasizing the importance of closer Greek-Italian cooperation to support Europe’s maritime sector.
“Greece and Italy will continue to work together to safeguard the competitiveness of European shipping and ports, while promoting a fair and realistic energy transition for the maritime industry, one that does not place additional burdens on the average European household,” Minister Kikilias stated.
