A new Initiative by StartUp Greece called “JoinForces” that was designed by the General Secretariat of Industry of the Ministry of Economy, Development and Tourism was launched two weeks ago, during the 81st Thessaloniki International Fair . The aim of the initiative is to engage large enterprises with potential and dynamic Start up businesspeople, in order to provide them with the necessary support needed for the development of their own ideas and business plans. At the first stage of the initiative, seven large enterprises have responded with their sponsorship plans addressed to over 100 potential new comers in the field. The sponsors will provide significant consulting and guidance services, including other benefits, with the aim to share their valuable experience and upgrade the role of the Greek business ecosystem.
The first large enterprises that are taking part in the Initiative are:
- Coca-Cola Tria Epsilon, with the development of a program of professional and personal skills addressed to young people.
- CNN Greece ,with a program for the promotion of Greek startups.
- Union of Companies of Mobile Telephony (EEKT), with its Mentoring-Business and Communication program.
- TITAN Group, with a program on Sponsorship of Specialized Seminars with the Use of Appropriate Services for meetings of Startupers.
- CHIPITA SA:with an Advisory- Guidance program to extroverted companies.
- INTRASOFT International:with a Startup mentoring program
- PAPASTRATOS AVES: with Consulting and Guidance Services to Startups.
It is worth noting that new companiesare constantly added to the initiative, such as Businesswith, Masterphone, ALERTit, Redcall, Redware, IP Consultants, and StellarLight.
Deputy Minister of Economy, Development and Tourism, Theodora Tzakri, has thanked all participating companies for their contribution to this important initiative and called out to potential and new startupers to express their interest to participate in the sponsorship programme.
