📌An agreement was signed in Brussels among Greece, Bulgaria and Romania on the Aegean-Black Sea Vertical Corridor, a strategic rail and road axis that will connect the three countries via Alexandroupolis. The Olympic Flame for the 2026 Winter Olympics was handed to the MilanoCortina2026 organizers at an official ceremony in Athens today. "Today marks a magical moment for all of us," said Giovanni Malagò, president of the Milano-Cortina Organizing Committee, at the Panathenaic Stadium, where the first modern Olympic Games were revived in 1896.
After a nine-day journey through Greece, the Olympic Flame will begin its journey to Italy on December 6, for a two-month torch relay around the country, ahead of the Games' Opening Ceremony on February 6, 2026.

Five Greek satellites were launched on November 28, and are now in orbit around the Earth as part of the “National Micro-Satellite Program.” These are two operational micro-satellites built by the private satellite company ICEYE, as well as three experimental and research microsatellites for technological demonstration, which will test new space technologies developed in Greece with the aim of strengthening the domestic industry.

Minister of Digital Governance Υπουργείο Ψηφιακής Διακυβέρνησης, Dimitris Papastergiou, stated: “Greece’s presence in space is now a reality."
