13 Έλληνες συγγραφείς, 13 Ιταλοί συγγραφείς, 5 Έλληνες εκδότες, 10 μεταφραστές, 2 συνέδρια, 2 βραβεία, 4 ιταλιστές, 8 ελληνιστές, 2 εκθέσεις, 4 θεματικές συζητήσεις και 3 αφιερώματα διαμόρφωσαν το
#πρόγραμμα της Ελλάδας ως Τιμώμενης Χώρας στη Salone Internazionale del Libro στο Τορίνο. Πλήθος κόσμου γέμισε το Ελληνικό Περίπτερο και τις αίθουσες των παρουσιάσεων, με την επίσημη έναρξη των εκδηλώσεων να κάνει ο Πέτρος Μάρκαρης, ιδιαίτερα δημοφιλής και αγαπητός συγγραφέας στην Ιταλία, στη Sala Azzurra, η οποία γέμισε με 400 θεατές! Στο Ελληνικό Περίπτερο παρουσιάστηκε το Premio Intersezioni, για την προώθηση της σύγχρονης ιταλικής λογοτεχνίας στον ελληνικό εκδοτικό χώρο, με την βράβευση των τριών καλύτερων μεταφράσεων στα ελληνικά, παρουσία του Πρόεδρου του ΕΛΙΒΙΠ, Νίκου Μπακουνάκη, του Προέδρου του Κέντρου για το Βιβλίο και την Ανάγνωση (Cepell), Tζουζέππε Ιαννακκόνε, και του διευθυντή του Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Atene, Φραντσέσκο Νέρι. Δύο επετειακές εκθέσεις πλαισίωναν τις δράσεις, εκείνη των 500 χρόνων από την πρώτη μετάφραση της Ιλιάδας σε δημώδη ελληνικά και μία για τα 100 χρόνια από τη γέννηση του Μάριο Βίττι, ελληνιστή και ιστορικού της Γενιάς του ’30. Μια ιδιαίτερη πρωτοβουλία ήταν αυτή της φωταγώγησης της Μόλε Αντονελλιάνα προς τιμήν της Ελλάδας, δράση που υλοποιήθηκε από το Επίτιμο Γενικό Προξενείο της Ελλάδας στο Τορίνο και οργανώθηκε από τον οργανισμό Microkosmos. Αξιοσημείωτο ήταν το αφιέρωμα σε Έλληνες συγγραφείς στο L'Indice dei Libri del Mese, ένα από τα σημαντικότερα ιταλικά περιοδικά, το οποίο οργάνωσε ο Προέδρος του ΕΛΙΒΙΠ Νίκος Μπακουνάκης σε συνεργασία με την εκδοτική ομάδα του περιοδικού. 13 Greek authors, 13 Italian authors, 5 Greek publishers, 10 translators, 2 conferences, 2 awards, 4 Italianists, 8 Hellenists, 2 exhibitions, 4 thematic panel discussions, and 3 special tributes shaped Greece’s programme as the Guest of Honour Country at the Salone Internazionale del Libro in Turin. Large audiences filled both the Greek Pavilion and the presentation halls, with the official opening of the programme delivered by Petros Markaris at the Sala Azzurra, with an audience of 400 attendees! The Greek Pavilion also hosted the presentation of the Premio Intersezioni, an initiative dedicated to promoting contemporary Italian literature within the Greek publishing landscape, including the award ceremony honouring the three best translations into Greek. The event took place in the presence of the President of the HFBC, Nikos Bakounakis; the President of the Centre for Books and Reading (CEPell), Giuseppe Iannaccone; and the Director of the Istituto Italiano di Cultura di Atene, Francesco Neri. Two commemorative exhibitions complemented the programme: one marking the 500th anniversary of the first translation of the Iliad into vernacular Greek, and another celebrating the centenary of the birth of Mario Vitti, distinguished Hellenist and historian of Greece’s “Generation of the 1930s.” A particularly noteworthy initiative was the illumination of the Mole Antonelliana in tribute to Greece, an action implemented by the Honorary Consulate General of Greece in Turin and organised by the organization Microkosmos. Equally significant was the special feature dedicated to Greek authors by L’Indice dei Libri del Mese, one of Italy’s most influential literary journals, coordinated by Nikos Bakounakis in collaboration with the magazine’s editorial team.
