The 2nd Naftemporiki Shipping Conference will take place in Athens (January 26, 2016) under the auspices of the Ministry of Shipping and Island Policy. Acknowledging the global significance of Greek Shipping, representatives from the shipping industry (ship owners, financial institutions, insurers, brokers and operators) will be unfolding their views and visions regarding Greek shipping’s contribution to the recovery of the national economy and the reduction of unemployment, particularly that of young people. The main topics to be discussed by this year’s participants include: “Shipping and Employment”, “Impediments to the shipping industry”, “Trends and perspectives” and “The shipping hub of Piraeus”.
A conference entitled “Natural Gas and LNG: New Developments in the Southeastern European Market” will take place in Thessaloniki (January 26, 2016), organized by the International Hellenic University and the Southeastern European Energy Forum. The conference is divided into two sessions: A) Aspects and Prospectives of Natural Gas in Southeastern European Infrastructure and Markets: Greece, Italy, Albania, Bulgaria, FYROM and Serbia - Gas Interconnector Greece-Bulgaria (IGB Pipeline) and B) Regulatory, Legal, Economical and Technological Aspects in the Greek Natural Gas Market – Liberalization of Greek Natural Gas Retail Market.
Agrotica 2016, the 26th International Trade Fair for Agricultural machinery, equipment & supplies, will take place in Thessaloniki (January 28-31, 2016) under the auspices of the Ministry of Interior and Administrative Reconstruction. Agrotica Fair takes place every two years and is considered to be the largest international meeting of professionals in its sector, aiming to promote Agricultural Growth and capitalizing on everything new in Technology and Science. Within the framework of the fair, the 6th Agrotica Pan-Hellenic Conference will take place (January 30-31) focusing on “New Technologies and Prospects in the Cultivation of Fruit and Vegetables”.
