A Group Exhibition of Contemporary Art & Marine Ecology

No Blue No Future brings together contemporary art and marine science in a dialogue that invites us to reconsider our relationship with the ocean — not as a distant horizon, but as a living ecosystem and an essential condition of life.

Curated by Nina Fragkopoulou, PhD in Marine Biology and independent curator, the exhibition brings together nineteen distinguished contemporary artists alongside Yiannis Issaris, PhD in Oceanography and Marine Biology, researcher, underwater photographer and filmmaker.

Through painting, sculpture, installation, photography, video and underwater imagery, the participating artists explore the sea as both landscape and living organism, while reflecting on the profound impact of human activity: pollution, overfishing, the climate crisis and the movement of populations.

🏛️ Fifteen antiquities return to Greece from the United States

Fifteen antiquities that had been illegally removed from Greece are returning home from the United States. Their handover to Minister of Culture Lina Mendoni took place during a special ceremony at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office.

🗣️ Lina Mendoni stated: "Today’s repatriation of 15 additional antiquities once again demonstrates that the protection of cultural heritage is strengthened through justice and international cooperation. Since 2022, 179 antiquities have been returned to Greece following decisions by the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office". The Minister of Culture also emphasized that "Every repatriation is an act of justice towards our history and, at the same time, tangible proof that cultural heritage cannot be subjected to illegal trafficking.”

🗣️ Matthew Bogdanos, Head of the Antiquities Trafficking Unit and Assistant District Attorney at the Manhattan District Attorney’s Office, stated:

“Every object that returns home, to the Greek people, is a celebration of friendship and of our unwavering efforts to combat the illegal trafficking of antiquities.

But every repatriation is also a reminder of the enduring pursuit of the ideals of beauty, justice and truth that were born in the sunlit land of the Hellenic Republic.”
