The Executive Board of UNESCO, on April 14th, unanimously decided to approve the designation of February 9th as “World Greek Language Day”. The decision of the Executive Board recognizes the universality and the global contribution of the Greek language to the cultural heritage of humanity.

Reading Greece spoke to Ioanna Diamanti and Miltos Gitas, owners of 'Mov Koukouvagia', a little bookstore in Ioannina, Epirus, about the role of little bookstores and their influence on reading preferences, as well as the challenges they are faced with and the prospects ahead.
