The Ευρωπαϊκό Πολιτιστικό Κέντρο Δελφών / European Cultural Centre of Delphi (ECCD) reaffirmed its mission to promote creative dialogue between antiquity and the modern world with a three-day artistic and intellectual gathering.

At its heart was Oresteia by Aeschylus, directed by renowned Theodoros Terzopoulos and produced by the Εθνικό Θέατρο / National Theatre of Greece. Performed at the Frýnichos Theatre on July 25–26, the sold-out plays deeply moved audiences with their emotional intensity and existential depth.

The event also featured the international symposium "Myth and Memory: The Oresteia in the Modern World", with artists, scholars, and audiences engaging in open dialogue and creative exchange. Highlights included backstage insights from the cast and a powerful discussion between Terzopoulos and five emerging female directors.

🏛 The Delphi Center and Theodoros Terzopoulos stated that they will continue their long-standing creative journey together, renewing their appointment for 2027, the year which marks the Center's 50th anniversary as well the centennial of the original Delphic Festivals.

🔗 A creative journey that continues — see you in 2027!
