Greece Aims to Become a Regional Data Center Hub in Southeastern Europe

The Ministry of Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence, in cooperation with the Ministries of Environment and Energy and Development, presented a study on the spatial planning and development of Data Centers in Greece. The event took place at the Athens Conservatoire, with the participation of the Minister of Digital Governance and Artificial Intelligence, Dimitris Papastergiou, and the Minister of Development, Takis Theodorikakos.
The study, prepared by PwC, highlights the significant opportunities emerging for Greece in the rapidly growing digital infrastructure sector.
Thanks to its geographical position at the crossroads of three continents, enhanced international connectivity, and access to emerging markets in Southeastern Europe and the Eastern Mediterranean, Greece has the potential to evolve into a key regional hub for Data Center development and the flow of digital services.
